5. Re-steep the leaves 1–2 times if desired, then return them to the Earth — closing the cycle and giving thanks.

Your herbs still have life in them after the first steep — don't discard them right away.

• Re-steep for a lighter infusion. The second and third steep yield a gentler, more subtle cup. Sometimes a softer brew is exactly what you need.
• Use it as a hair or body rinse. Pour the cooled lighter infusion over yourself in the shower. The herbs' properties absorb through your skin and hair, turning a simple rinse into its own small ritual.
• Return them to the Earth. Once you've finished, give the spent plant material back. Add it to your garden, a potted plant, or any patch of soil — it's a wonderful fertilizer and a way to close the cycle with gratitude.

Herbs are sensitive to their environment — a little care goes a long way in preserving their potency and freshness.

• Keep them dry. Moisture is the biggest enemy. Always use a dry spoon and make sure your hands are dry before reaching in.
• Store away from light and heat. A cool, dark cupboard or pantry is ideal. Avoid storing near the stove, dishwasher, or any source of steam or heat.
• Seal well after each use. Press out excess air and reseal the bag tightly to keep humidity and aromas out.
• Use within 6–12 months for optimal flavor and potency, though properly stored herbs can last longer.

Herbal medicine is a practice of consistency, not a quick fix. Most people begin to notice shifts within 2–4 weeks of daily use. For deeper systemic support, we recommend a 90-day commitment. Think of it as a steady flame — slow, rooted, and lasting.
